When will the project start and finish?

    The project is scheduled to start on 20th June 2023, with completion expected in early 2024.

    Will the café be open during construction?

    During the initial stages of construction the cafe will remain open 7 days a week.

    The takeaway kiosk area will remain open during construction.

    What will the Cafe's new hours be?

    These will be promoted via the Boatshed Cafe's Facebook page and on signage at the cafe. For the early stages of the project, the Kiosk will be open most days, and the upper level dining area will be open most weeks between Thursday to Sunday.

    Will there be noise and dust?

    Builders will take all reasonable measures to minimise noise and to limit dust where possible.

    What are the hours and days of work?

    Generally, works will occur from Monday to Friday between 7am to 5pm. Weekend works may be required, but will only occur if essential to the delivery of the project.

    Can I book a function during construction?

    Please contact The Boatshed Café direct to make any enquires regarding the restaurant or kiosk.

    Will the public toilets be open?

    The public toilets will be within the construction zone and therefore will not be accessible. The closest toilets are located approx. 320m south at Heron Way Reserve.

    Will the Coastal Walkway be open?

    Yes, the Coastal walkway will not be impacted by the project.

    Will the car park be open?

    As the car park will be within the construction zone it won't be accessible during construction. From, time to time, dependent on the construction schedule, some limited spaces may be available. It is recommended that Heron Way is used for deliveries and parking.
