ABOUT THE TRIAL
To improve the amenity and security associated with the utilisation of bus shelters during the night or early hours of the morning (when dark), Council will be trialing the provision of an LED light within the bus shelter located at stop 53A Adams Road, Sheidow Park (south side) and Stop 18 Bray Street, Plympton Park. The light will be solar powered with a motion sensor to enable the light to only turn on when it is triggered by movement.
Whether you are a commuter or not, we would like to ascertain your views in regard to this trial.
What we aim to achieve
The provision of lighting within bus shelters aims to do the following:
Improve personal safety;
Increase comfort for public transport commuters;
Generally increase amenity for the local community; and
Consultation on the Trott Park bus stop closed on 16 October 2020
We are currently consulting on the bus shelter located at stop 18 Bray Street, Plympton Park until 27 November
