Glandore Laneways

Consultation has concluded

Marion Council is progressing the upgrade of a network of laneways in Glandore to make them safer for the community. Since our last update in October 2016 the progress has been:
  • Land transactions and building approvals for the widening of sections of the laneways have taken more time than anticipated and we thank you for your patience.
  • Building works are now underway and work on the remaining two properties will commence shortly.
  • We have also finalized the road construction plans, called for tenders and appointed T and J Contractors to complete this work.
  • Remaining building and civil works expected to commence in April and will be completed approximately July 2017.

To prepare for this next stage there will be a number of important steps we are undertaking to ensure construction stays on track:

  • Host a community information session where you can meet staff and the contractor to find out more
  • Arrange meetings on site with the contractor and residents to understand individual requirements
  • Arrange any temporary parking provisions needed by residents during the works

Community Information ‘drop in’ session

We hosted a Community Information 'drop in' session on Thursday 30 March 2017 at Glandore Community Centre.

The drop in was arranged to allow community members to talk with Council staff and T and J Contractors to find out more about the project stages and to let us know about individual requirements.
