December 2016 Update

We have recently consulted the consulting the community about how people use four community facilities across the City. The consultation was conducted in January 2017 and a feedback report on each site will be made available here soon.

Background

A recent review of tennis facilities by the City of Marion showed there are 86 courts. Of these courts, 59 are associated with clubs and 27 are open community courts.

The standards of courts vary significantly and some tennis clubs struggle with membership numbers and the financial capacity to maintain facilities. An audit of tennis courts and clubs is underway to assess the condition of courts and to help inform discussion with clubs about their facilities and the future.
