What does this Greening Edwardstown project aim to do?

    Working alongside key businesses and community, the City of Marion aims to:

    • Create green character amenity
    • Reduce urban heat
    • Create formal and informal green spaces to help people meet and gather, building community pride, ownership of places and engagement with nature
    • Provide habitats for wildlife such as birds and insects
    • Reduce air pollution and energy use
    • Encourage active forms of transport such as walking and cycling in areas which are shaded, sheltered and comfortable
    • Visual narrowing of the streets to assist with slowing vehicle speeds and increasing awareness of other users in the street
    • Increase the desirability of this economic precinct to attract future investment


    What streets are included in the project?

    The Edwardstown Green Infrastructure Project will focus on four key industrial streets in Edwardstown:

    • Woodlands Terrace
    • Furness Avenue
    • Deloraine Avenue
    • Dunorlan Avenue
    • And/or adjoining streets
