Have your say – Hamilton Park Reserve, Warradale

The City of Marion, in conjunction with the Federal Government, is upgrading the playground at Hamilton Park Reserve from July 2023. This will be a neighbourhood level reserve upgrade.

Key items proposed in the upgrade include but not limited to are:

  • A tree-top tower structure with 3 slides
  • Three swings (basket swing, standard swing and baby swing)
  • Pump Track
  • Sports Goals (AFL, rugby and soccer)
  • Art reflecting the history of the site
  • Landscaping
  • Drinking fountain
  • Pathway connection and seating
  • New barbeque
  • Upgraded irrigation

Share your comments to help us understand priorities for types of recreation and play at this reserve. Your feedback and votes will help influence the final design.

Whilst we are unable to consider everything, your feedback will help us understand community priorities so it is important you take this opportunity to tell us what you think.

The recently upgraded tennis court, basketball court and netball ring will remain as well as the public toilet, picnic table and shelter. These additions were added in late 2020 as part of a co-funded State government grant. The older 3 on 3 basketball court will be removed.

What's next?

Following this consultation, feedback will be reviewed and, where possible, incorporated into the final design.

Once the final design has been completed it will be available on the website later this year. Construction will commence in 2023/2024.

    Hamilton Park Reserve Consultation

    Marion Council is planning a neighbourhood reserve upgrade at Hamilton Park Reserve, Warradale. A new playground and reserve upgrade is planned from July 2023. The new playground includes new play equipment, a pump track and a path connection. View the plans and tell us what you think. 

    The Federal Government has contributed funding to the project. Recently added sports equipment (tennis court, basketball court, netball ring) and amenities (barbeque, shelter, picnic setting) will remain onsite.
