Marion Golf Club Development Opportunity - EOI

The City of Marion invites proposals from professional and suitably qualified organisations interested insubstantially redeveloping the Marion Golf Course facilities and managing its ongoing operations.

Council vision is to attract a new management organisation interested in investing in the Marion Golf Course to develop a venue that offers a wide range of excellent services for the community as well as an outstanding golfing experience by maintaining a high quality course.

Background

Council’s expectation is to retain the site as a golf course and seeks facilities and activities that will be complimentary and add value to the golf course.

Established in 1980 the Marion Golf Course is a public 9 hole golf course located in Seacliff Park, South Australia that services both the community and the Marion Golf Club.

The Marion Golf Course had approximately 15,000 rounds of golf undertaken last calendar year for casual, tournament and social rounds. The Marion Golf Club has approximately 85 members who participate in both social and league rounds. The Golf Course is available for wider community use and fees are priced at community rates.

The Marion Golf Course is ideally located with spectacular 270 degree views of the coast line and Adelaide plains which makes the course unique for such an accessible location. This idyllic location provides a great opportunity for organisations with a vision and the capability to develop a quality golf course and venue.
