Why are the markets closing?
The markets have been an initiative of the Marion Sports and Community Club and have been run by volunteers.
The club, in consultation with the volunteers, has decided to discontinue the markets due to the increasing demand for the oval for sport on Sundays
What is Council doing?
Marion Council hopes the markets can continue in some form and staff are exploring alternative sites.
