EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

The City of Marion invited Expressions of Interests (EOI) from community organisations interested in leasing and/or utilizing a portion of the first floor at Marion Leisure and Fitness Centre, 230 Oaklands Road, Morphettville in May 2019.

EOI's were accepted for any qualifying organisation that can maximize the use of the facility through their own activities as well as managing/coordinating the use by other groups and individuals.

The City of Marion was looking for EOI's that will be an acceptable fit to the operation of the existing facility and not unfavourably affect capacity of the facility or adversely impact on the surrounding tenants or residents.

Interested parties were to note that:

  • The term of the Licence Agreement will be until the 30 June 2021
  • Area is 417 square metres
  • Annual rent fee is $3,502.80 plus GST (this may be subject to a 93% subsidy should the required criteria be met)
  • The area is to be considered as is, any further works or imrovements will need to be undertaken by the new tenant (written Landlord Consent will be required prior)
  • The use of the area must compliment the current users of the facility and other tenants
  • Other tenants include YMCA of South Australia Inc and Gymnastics SA Inc
  • Given the opportunity is to lease a portion of the first floor, consideration must be given to other tenants/users (i.e. noise levels)
