Closed Consultation - Oaklands Community Connections:

The City of Marion are working on an exciting project between Oaklands Crossing and Diagonal Road.

We want to understand the level of support to close the northern portion of Diagonal Way to create a larger community park and pedestrian/cyclist link from the new train station to the Regional Centre.

We would also like to hear your thoughts on Dwyer Road Reserve upgrade.

The playground at Dwyer Road Reserve is being designed with a focus on smart technology, which could include free WiFi and on-demand train timetables, casual catch up spaces, a multipurpose court, table tennis tables and interactive digital play.

We invite you to review the concept and tell us what you think. Here you can

The Project will achieve multiple benefits including:

  1. Enhanced streetscapes
  2. Better pedestrian and cyclist movement
  3. Creation of a larger public park at Dwyer Road Reserve with new play ground and amenities
  4. Smart technologies that enhance the experience of the precinct for local community and visitors
