Where are the nearest play spaces?
What works can I expect to see happening at the reserve?
Initially the existing play equipment will be removed from the reserve. Following this, fruit trees will be planted, tables installed, and minor landscaping works undertaken to ensure that the reserve is a pleasant open space.
What is going to replace the play equipment?
The design proposes a fruit orchard and picnic tables to replace the play equipment. Refer to the concept plan provided.
Is there going to be new play equipment at the reserve?
No, there will not be new play equipment at the reserve, however the reserve will be reinstated to create an attractive, usable open space.
Why is the play space being removed?
The play equipment at Branksome Terrace Reserve is approximately 20 years’ old and has reached its usable life. Several play spaces in close proximity have recently been upgraded and provide a more accessible location for the wider community.
