Seacliff Park Development Site ARCHIVE

Consultation has concluded

In conjunction with City of Holdfast Bay we have recently conducted community engagement for the redevelopment of the former Lorenzin and Monier sites at Seacliff Park (also known as Cement Hill).

In August 2012 we received confirmation from Minister Rau to proceed with the investigations which will inform the rezoning process.

Since then the City of Marion and City of Holdfast Bay have been working together with the current owners of the land with a view to undertaking the necessary investigations to further the rezoning process. (Traffic Studies, Environmental Reports, etc)

Community engagement

During two workshops in November 2012 we invited you to tell us what your aspirations are for the site.

On Wednesday November 7 2012 a presentation was provided by Council staff to provide context about the site. We then held an interactive 'ideas' session where people could wander around different stations to talk to us about areas like environment, housing, open space, moving around the area, community needs and retail. A full summary of comments is provided for you to view.

November 21 2012 was a 'feedback and future' session where we presented the ideas we heard back to the community and the presentation is available for you to view.

Were you there? We'd love to hear how you found it!

What now?

There are a number of technical investigations and planning considerations that need to be conducted to determine the viability of development occuring on this site.

Community feedback is one element that needs to be considered and we will be providing updates to you as we move through the process and we will engage with you further at every opportunity.
