Spinnaker Circuit Reserve - East

We are keen to understand the Community’s vision for this space. We are seeking your views as residents to help us make the most informed choice that will benefit you, the community and the space for the future.

Background

The neighbouring school, St Martin de Porres, have approached Council and shown an interest in using the space as additional parking and potentially for other purposes such as a sealed court area, a garden or a play area. Any gardens or play areas would be for school and not community use. Any court areas could possibly be for community hire.

Note that Council does not have plans for additional community facilities on the reserve and the reserve is not included in Council’s long-term plans to provide open space. There are already facilities on the Spinnaker Circuit Reserve West.

Consultation

Your feedback will assist Elected Members in determining the future use of this site.

This is community consultation is to understand the community's vision for the space.

The disposal of any community land is subject to Ministerial approval and further community consultation would be undertaken in this case. All feedback as a result of the community consultation is considered by the Minister when making a decision about revoking the community land classification. If sold the proceeds would be paid into the Open Space Reserve Fund for the development of open space as approved by Council.

Option A: No Sale or Lease and Retain as Open Space


Option B: Sell / Lease the Eastern Section to the School, Dividing the Balance for Residential Purposes for Sale


Option C: Sell / Lease the Eastern Section to the School and Retaining the Balance as Open Space


Option D: Sell / Lease the Northern Section to the School, dividing the balance for Residential Purposes for Sale


Option E: Sell / Lease the whole of the reserve to the School
