When will this project be delivered?

Subject to Community Land Revocation process approvals, the proposed works on Cohen Court Reserve and integration of open space can be programmed for 2022/23 financial year

How will it change how I access Tonsley

The proposed vehicle connection through Cohen Court Reserve will provide access into and out of Tonsley. This will also support access to public transportation (new Tonsley Train Station) and proposed retail and hospitality within the Tonsley Precinct.

What will happen to the traffic movement?

The provision of a northern connector road from the Tonsley Precinct to the suburb of Clovelly Park will have an impact on traffic conditions. This connection will form a northern route consisting of Cohen Court, Windsor Avenue and Celtic Avenue.

The Driveway Link will allow two-way traffic movements, while creating a slower speed environment and discouraging “cut through” traffic.

It is recognised that the provision of the northern connector road, while enhancing social inclusion, will result in an increase in traffic movements along Cohen Court. Estimates indicate a possible increase of 1040 vehicles, resulting in a daily volume of 1425

What will happen to the balance of Cohen Crt Reserve?

The balance of the land is to be retained as open space (Community Land), with a new playground and integration with the Tonsley Village Open space. Designs will be developed to incorporate walking and cycling connections, play equipment and amenities. Consultation on the reserves will occur in 2021/22 financial year.
