The consultation has concluded. Thank you for participating.
About the project:
A new playground and reserve upgrade is planned for Wistow Crescent Reserve, Trott Park this financial year 2021/22.
This reserve is a local level site designed to primarily cater for people living and working within walking distance.
In May / June 2021 we undertook community consultation on the draft concept plan. The consultation closed on 1 June 2021 and a community drop in session was held on 18 May 2021. Refer to the Wistow Reserve Engagement Findings Report.
There was high support for the upgrade with 77% of respondents either very happy or happy with the concept plan.
The elements that respondents liked most about the concept plan included: nature play, overall upgrades and new trees / landscaping.
The aspects that respondents would like to see improved in the concept plan included: swing(s), more kick about space, suitable elements for toddlers and younger children.
There was a strong preference for the reserve to be family friendly and cater for a range of ages. Many liked the ideas in the concept plan and are excited about the upgrades.
Based on this feedback, we have updated the draft concept to include a swing, a bench seat and elements suitable for toddlers and younger children. The Final Concept Plan is now available to view.
The project will now proceed to detailed design to enable construction to be completed by June 2022.
