Disability Access and Inclusion Plan 2020-2024
The City of Marion is committed to creating an accessible and inclusive City based on fairness, respect and providing safe and welcoming environments for all users; and actively contributes in many ways to reducing access and inclusion barriers experienced by the community, customers, volunteers, Elected Members and staff.
The City of Marion has developed a Draft Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (Draft Plan) for our City 2020 to 2024. Now we want to hear your feedback on the Draft Plan.
In July 2020 we asked people to complete a survey to tell us more about what access and inclusion mean to you. We thank those who took the time to provide insights and comments have been considered in the development of the Draft Plan.
Through September 2020 we consulted on the Draft Plan. Here you can:
- Read the Draft Plan which includes 38 actions Council intends to deliver over the next 4 years
- See what we heard from the community and how we have considered feedback
With your feedback the final DAIP will:
- demonstrate and guide annual actions the City of Marion delivers to reduce access and inclusion barriers experienced by community, customers, volunteers, Elected Members and employees.
- reflect Marion’s Equity, Access and Social Inclusion Policy

The South Australian Government introduced the Disability Inclusion Act 2018 (the Act) in June 2018.
