We’re imagining what the future should look like - Tell us your aspirations for our city.

The City of Marion is revising its Vision Toward 2040 and reviewing its current 10-year Strategic Plan. The Vision and Plan will reflect the future aspirations of the community.

Council is seeking feedback from residents, businesses, visitors, and key partners on what is needed to make the City of Marion a better place.


Consultation was open from 9 October- 4 December 2023


We received your feedback on:

  • Your vision for the council area toward 2040.

  • What you think the future challenges for the council area are.

  • What priorities council needs to focus on for the next 10 years.


When will the Plan be complete?


Council has reviewed your initial feedback provided between 9 October and 4 December 2023 and is currently developing the draft Plan. Review the community engagement report to find out what the community told us!

In mid- 2024 we will be consulting with you on the draft plan to find out whether we have hit the mark.

We expect the final Strategic Plan 2024-2034 will be finalised by August 2024.
