Trott Park Trail

Background

The Trott Park Trail forms a pathway that connects four reserves and commences east at Tyson Avenue Reserve, and meanders west through Reserve Street Reserve, Scarvell Avenue Reserve and finishes at Klippel Avenue Reserve.

The trail provides an ideal opportunity to enhance neighbourhood character, provide a destination that supports the walking network and join the central Reserve Street Reserve facilities to the neighbourhood.

The proposed Trail enhances and utilises existing infrastructure such as drink fountains, public toilet, current pathways and seating.

Proposed Options

The following three options are presented for your feedback:

Option 1 - Trail Only

Specific trail features include:

• A longer trail than Option 2, running through the whole length of Tyson Avene Reserve and connecting to the dog park entry near Rix Court
• 4 x new bench seats
• Increased tree and native planting

Option 2 - Trail with Australian Art

Specific trail features include:

• Shorter trail than Option 1
• 3 x new bench seats
• 4 x interpretive wayfinding signs
• 5 x new art work locations

Please note the budget for option 1 and 2 is the same.

Option 3 - No trail

No further work will be completed across the reserves, and we will continue to maintain the reserves as they are.
