Let’s face it the Pond/Lake/Dam/Basin whatever you want to call it has done its job and is now end of life. As we all know the Lucretia Way Pond has been a centre piece in this area for all things good. It’s provided some locals with a view, some with a reason to walk the dog, a home for wildlife and some just to take in the serenity. However it’s time for change and good on the City of Marion for taking notice of the local residents’ concerns and enabling a platform for residents to vent their concerns and share their thoughts. So hopefully whatever decision is made let’s all make the right one for all the right reasons.

Given that we are now experiencing a change in our climate and who ever thought that Global Warming was a real thing, well guess what it is and here we are with our own little climate change related problem. So what’s it going to be, a short term solution that will please the masses or a long term solution that will please the environment and future generations?

This is a unique opportunity for all stakeholders to get it right.
