Who decided on this upgrade?
Council endorsed a playground upgrade for this site through the City of Marion Playground Framework in December 2017.
When will this reserve be upgraded?
Construction is anticipated to start in 2023/24 financial year
Will a toilet be added?
No. A new toilet is not part of the scope for this project as this site is a local level playground. Toilets are allocated for significantly larger playgrounds.
Will this reserve get shade sails?
No, this site is a local level playground and shade sails are endorsed for larger playgrounds only. There will be new planting and trees included for natural shade and to beautify the site.
What ages or development level will this playground cater for?
This playground will cater for all ages up to 14 years old. It will include simple and more challenging elements to ensure there are opportunities for a range of ages and development levels. Nature play will also be provided at this site, which is a fun activity for all age groups.
