Consultation has concluded

About the Project

This project is now complete!  A new public toilet was installed at Edwardstown Soldiers Memorial Recreation Ground during June 2023.

Community consultation took place during October 2021, with two potential site options presented to the community.

Community Consultation Results

Council received 32 responses to the online survey.  The outcomes included:

  • There is high support for a public toilet with 81% (26 respondents) stating there is a need at the reserve
  • The preferred location for the toilet is option A (next to the oval) with 56% (18 respondents) supporting this option.  Comments suggested this location is preferred as it is further from properties and the carpark / traffic on East Terrace.  It can also be easily accessed by both the sport and community.
  • A total of 31% (10 respondents) supported option B (next to the carpark), and 12% (4 respondents) did not support a public toilet at the reserve.
