August 2024 - Project Update
Following closure of the consultation period and preparation of the Community Feedback Report, a design plan has been prepared to illustrate the works for Stage 1.
Stage 1 works are now planned for construction from the end of September 2024 (weather permitting), and includes:
- Installation of new kerb ramps across Hill Street and Gully Road.
- Concrete path to connect Gully Road to the playground.
- Installation of a new concrete path parallel with the car park to replace the broken asphalt.
- Fencing along concrete path parallel to car park.
- Removal of the wooden post and rail fencing along the reserve edge in poor condition.
- Placement of bollards opposite Hill Street, in front of the playground.

The design and consultation of Stage 2 works will continue to be undertaken during the 2024/25 financial year across both reserves, incorporating:
- More seating and garden beds.
- Additional and renewed irrigation across both reserves.
- Fitness equipment.
- Tree planting
- New fencing adjacent the bus stop on Davenport Terrace, as planned.
The construction of Stage 2 works is anticipated in 2025/26.
