Have your say - Hendrie Street Reserve, PARK HOLME

An Open Space Plan was recently endorsed by Council to provide upgrades to open space across Council. As part of this plan, minor upgrades are proposed in the open space at Hendrie Street Reserve.

The upgrades will include:

  • removing existing basketball court
  • installing new 3 on 3 basketball court
  • installing new netball ring
  • 7-a-side soccer goals (top dressed and levelled surface for a kick about lawn)
  • new additional tree planting
  • additional seating
  • upgraded irrigation

The open space has many mature trees, and to protect the tree roots, we cannot place the basketball court back in its original position.

The public toilet will remain and no further work will be completed in the playground.

We invite your feedback on the proposed upgrades. Your feedback and votes will help influence the final design.

Here you can:

The opportunity to provide feedback closes on 12 April 2021.

Whilst we are unable to consider everything, your feedback will help us understand community priorities so it is important you take this opportunity to tell us what you think. Please read the FAQs to help answer some of your questions before you begin the survey.

What's next?

Following this consultation, feedback will be reviewed and, where possible, incorporated into the final design.

Once the final design has been completed it will be available on the website later this year. Construction will commence in 2021.

  • CLOSED: This survey has concluded.

The open space at Hendrie Street Reserve sits next to the Inclusive playground. The existing basketball court in the reserve has reached its end of life and needs to be replaced. Along with the basketball, other sports items will be added to activate the open space and complement the playground.

Plenty of open space will still remain to enjoy a picnic, walk your dog and other recreational activities.

We invite your feedback on the proposed upgrade. View the concept plan and the layout options.

Join the conversation and share your thoughts. Your comments may help influence the final design.
