Consultation has concluded
Council developed a concept plan for a new regional playground and reserve upgrade at Hugh Johnson Boulevard Reserve in 2020.
Key elements of the plan included:
Junior and adventure play
Basketball and fitness node
Nature trail
Shared path for bikes, trikes and pedestrians
Enchanted forest nature play
Public art
BMX /pump track
Additional carparking
New public toilet
Improvements to the existing storm water pond

The City of Marion were also successful in receiving $800,000 Open Space and Places for People funding towards the $1.6 million reserve development. At the General Council Meeting on 8 June 2021, the concept design was approved and it was agreed that the project proceed to detailed design and tender.
Construction of Hugh Johnson Boulevard Reserve was completed mid 2022.
