Background
The City of Marion is currently planning a local level playground upgrade at Manoora Drive Reserve, Hallett Cove. This project was identified as a key priority in the Open Space Plan 2024-2034. We consulted with the community on the draft Concept Plan, providing two options for playground equipment:
Option 1: Flowbars (including sliding and climbing), gyro swing, springers, talking tubes
Option 2: Multi-station with slides, climbing structures, mini flying fox, rope balance, springers, basket swing and talking tubes
Both options have:
- Seating & picnic setting
- Pathway connections
- Garden beds and tree planting
- Drinking fountain
Community Consultation
Community consultation closed on 3 December 2025. The community had the opportunity to provide feedback from 27 October - 3 December 2025. Views were shared by:
- Attending an onsite drop-in session on Tuesday, 4 November 2025, from 4–6pm
- Completing the online survey
We asked for both adult and child feedback and encouraged participants to complete the survey and then separately with their child. A community engagement feedback report is now available to view.
Next steps
We are currently finalising the concept plan and will proceed to detailed design. Construction is planned for the 2026/27 financial year.
