Background

The Scarborough Terrace Reserve is currently named after an adjacent street in the suburb of Dover Gardens. On the western side of the reserve is the Patritti Winery. Founded in 1926 by Giovanni Patritti and recognised as one of Australia’s last remaining suburban wineries, Council acknowledges the extraordinary history of the Patritti winery and celebrates its 100th birthday this year.

To recognise the significant contribution that the Patritti family has made to the economic, and cultural life of the City of Marion community for over 100 years, Council is proposing to rename Scarborough Terrace Reserve to Patritti Reserve.

Consultation closed on Thursday 16 April 2026.
