NEW TOILET

The upgrade will include the demolition of the existing toilet building and the installation of a new Exeloo toilet facility. A survey on the proposed location of the new toilet is open from 8 February 2019 to 1 March 2019.


PLAYGROUND UPGRADE

The City of Marion is pleased to advise that Council is investing up to $235,000 in upgrading Shamrock Road Reserve Playground, Hallett Cove.

Shamrock Road Reserve Playground is classified as a neighbourhood reserve and the proposed work will include:

  • shelter
  • seating
  • picnic table
  • new play equipment
  • landscaping
  • water play
  • nature play

Council plans to remove the old equipment and commence construction for the new playground in the 2018/19 financial year.

    The Shamrock Road Reserve upgrade is in the final design phase, with construction anticipated to commence in April 2019.

    The reserve upgrade will include:
    • New play equipment
    • Nature play
    • Shelter and picnic setting
    • A new barbecue (Stronger Communities Grant funded)
    • A shade sail

    The upgrade will also include the demolition of the existing toilet building and the installation of a new Exeloo toilet facility.

    The toilet is an automatic, self-cleaning public toilet, accessible during the day but locked in the evening.
