The City of Marion is planning an upgrade to Teesdale Crescent Reserve, Plympton Park, in partnership with funding from the South Australian Government. Three upgrade options have been developed for community feedback.

The proposed options include:

• Option A - Irrigation, native planting, shelter and drink fountain (with dog bowl)
• Option B - Irrigation, native planting and drink fountain (with dog bowl)
• Option C - Shelter and native planting (no irrigation)

To support the irrigation system, a water tank and pump are required, as mains water pressure alone is not sufficient. The proposed tank will be a slimline design with screening and could be located with the shelter and / or drink fountain.

As the reserve contains mature trees, any new irrigation infrastructure will be installed outside tree root zones to help protect existing vegetation.

The project may also include local heritage interpretation associated with the Teesdale Smith family of Maryland (1925 – 1965), potentially incorporated into the shelter area.
