Council leases a portion of community land to Indara Digital Infrastructure (Indara) for the provision of a telecommunications tower at Seacliff Golf Course, Seacliff Park.

While the lease is not due to expire until 29 February 2028, Indara have requested an early renewal to assist with their operational planning for the area and have requested a further 5+5 years commencing 1 March 2028.

For lease renewals on Community Land of over 5 years in length (including rights of renewal), Council are required to enter into a period of community consultation as set out in Section 202 of the Local Government Act 1999. The telecommunications tower is located in the red square below. No changes to the tower structure are required for the lease renewal.

Council values community input in decisions relating to community land.

As part of considering a lease of greater than 5 years, we are undertaking community engagement in accordance with Section 202 of the Local Government Act 1999.

Your feedback will be used by Council Members to assist in their decision making. The closing date for submissions is 5pm Wednesday 1 April 2026.

After 1 April 2026, we will review the feedback where it will be reviewed to help inform the decision on the lease at the General Council meeting scheduled for 12 May 2026.
