The City of Marion is inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) from local netball clubs interested in leasing/licensing the courts and clubhouse at the Woodforde Family Reserve tennis and netball facility. EOI's will be accepted for clubs that can maximise utilisation of the facility through club training and games as well as social and community activities.

Woodforde Family Reserve is located on Sandison Avenue Parkholme and features a clubhouse and four tennis/netball courts. The facilities have been shared by a local tennis and netball club for the past several years. A vacancy now exists for a new tenant to share the facility with the local tennis club.

EOI's must clearly demonstrate the need for use of the facility and must be an acceptable fit for the operation of the existing facility and not adversely impact on the surrounding tenants or residents.

EOI’s will be reviewed and assessed by Council against the following criteria:

• Demonstrated need for use of the facility

• Ability to maximise utilisation of the facility

• Are an acceptable fit within the operation of the facility

• Will not impact adversely on residents and neighbours of the facility

• Provide sustainable outcomes; economically, socially and environmentally

• Support and complement the existing user group

• Is a financially stable organisation

Interested parties are to note the following:

• The maximum lease or license term is 5 years

• Lease/licence agreement includes use of the clubhouse and courts

• Annual rent fee is $10,500 plus GST (reduced to $746.50 if certain conditions are met, eg financial viability and transparency, inclusive welcoming of diverse players - full details in Council’s Leasing and Licensing policy).

• The area is to be considered as is, any further works or improvements will need to be undertaken by the new tenant (written Landlord Consent will be required prior)

• The use of the area must complement the current user of the facility

• Consideration must be given to local residents (i.e. noise levels)
