It was identified in our Open Space Plan which sets out to achieve an even spread of appealing and functional open spaces across the City.
When will this reserve be upgraded?
Construction is anticipated to begin in the next financial year.
Will there be shade, car parking and a toilet included in the reserve?
The design will consider shade from existing trees.
Linear Park Reserve is a neighbourhood level reserve. A public toilet and car parking are outside of the budget for this type of reserve upgrade.
Is the playground being updated?
No, the playground for this reserve was upgraded in 2014. Site improvements will be added for sports and active recreation, and they will not replace the existing play equipment. The playground equipment will continue to be maintained and monitored.
