"Tools For Future Use" part of Reclaiming Sturt River project 2021 by Matt Fortrose. Commissioned by City of Marion
Influenced by the importance of water capture, use and conservation, this artwork, by Matt Fortrose, reflects on the arguable practice of water divining. Tools For Future Use compares the unconscious motion of finding water, to the conscious action of conserving it. This artwork hopes to spark discussion amongst its viewers alternative ideas in search of water, thoughts on conservation, sustainability and an appreciation of our local ecosystems. Commissioned by City of Marion, with assistance from the Government of South Australia through Arts South Australia.
